about suzunone

Wind chimes made of vessels and sound, born from a chance sound
"Cool Sound" was born from a collaboration with designer Kazunari Miyake. Originally, the prototype was intended as a tea set, but when it was accidentally struck, a beautiful, clear sound reverberated throughout the space. This coincidence led to the development of the "wind chime."
This is an initiative of the brand "=K+," which aims to bring excitement and joy to people's lives by blending tradition and innovation.
features
The stand frame that supports the entire unit is made of slender yet sturdy stainless steel, and the base is designed in a double circle, achieving both a delicate form and a sense of stability.
The wind catcher that hangs from it is made of very thinly processed natural wood.

Each Suzunone is a one-of-a-kind piece that is finished by hand.
Just like musical instruments have a range and resonance, the sound of wind chimes also changes subtly depending on the material and how they are fired.
The white of Suzunone is made using a delicate and gorgeous porcelain glaze called Hana Kyoshi.
The glaze melts during firing, and as it cools, crystals emerge like blooming flowers, revealing a unique beauty born from nature. The vessel is characterized by a transparent pattern and elegant luster, resembling a flower in bloom.

What is Kyo-yaki?

"Kyoto ware and Kiyomizu ware" are traditional pottery crafts that have been cultivated in Kyoto, the capital for a thousand years, and have evolved over time while inheriting a variety of techniques and elegant designs.
The painted pottery created by master craftsmen such as Ninsei and Kenzan has added elegance to Japanese ceramic culture and is still highly regarded both at home and abroad today.
Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki are pottery that continue to enrich people's hearts as tools for daily life and as works of art.
